Service to humanity is one of the major requirements for a successful existence and worthy of emulation. Requesting that teenagers are advised to undertake community service (s) without expecting payment is not only of immense benefits to the teenagers but also to the society at large. This is why I strongly and entirely agree to the aforementioned opinion. In this essay, I shall engage logic and sensible analysis of the subject matter above in communicating my views, ideologies and rationale for this my stand herein stated.
Firstly, the teenagers will learn the values of selflessness and patriotism. Values are better acquired through practices and principles of life are thought but remain ineffective until someone puts it to work. When teenagers are required to serve their community without being paid for such services, they unconsciously learn the virtue of serving others without expecting a rebate or a pay-back. Again, serving the community without expecting financial commitment from the community in return will enhance their loyalty and patriotism to the community and nation at large. These untold benefits will eventually turn the society into a home for all; where everyone sees him or herself as a stake holder in such (a) community and hence sees the upkeep of such community as his or her responsibility. Therefore it is clear from this laudable explanation that encouraging teenagers to engage in free-community service holds indescribable benefits for both the community and the teenagers.
In addition to the aforementioned, there is the possibility of the teenagers learning new skills and gaining human resourcefulness. This is so vital in the lives of teenagers because it tends to engage them both physically and mentally thereby keeping them busy and distracting their minds from social vices of all sorts. Engaging them in various handiworks such as weeding, various crafts and several others will provide them the opportunity to be independent and responsible citizens in the community and society in general. Physically engaging them in various activities will make them to be hardworking and not slothful thereby making the possibility (ies) of a meaningful existence a reality. Essentially, this elucidation has conveyed the gains in relations to acquiring new skills and having access to prominent individuals especially community leaders while executing these services possible.
In sum and arguably some people might be of a contrary view (s) but judging from the points, clarity of explanations and vivid illustrations given in this piece of writing, there is no iota of doubt that allowing and even mandating teenagers to serve the community without pay actually pays them at the long run and benefits the community in several ways.
